Spicer alternative: an app, or a quiz in your browser?

Spicer is a feature-rich couples app you both install. Uncover Passion is a smaller, guided questionnaire that runs in the browser. Neither is "better" — they suit different habits. Here's how to choose.

Disclosure: this comparison is published by Uncover Passion, so we're not neutral. We're not affiliated with Spicer. Installed app or browser

With Spicer, both partners download the app and link accounts. That suits couples who want something on their phones every day — dares, challenges and a private chat.

Uncover Passion opens from a link. You can try the starter without installing or signing up, and nothing sits on your home screen unless you choose to add it. That suits couples who'd rather sit down now and then for a focused conversation.

Choosing questions: huge library or curated set

Spicer offers thousands of questions in packs of different levels, including user-contributed ones and a daily question. If variety is what you want, that's a real strength.

Uncover Passion keeps the list short and reviewed: a 10-question gentle starter, then topics you switch on yourself. The more intense topics stay off until each of you chooses them. Many questions are role-based, so "being teased" and "teasing your partner" are asked separately and match up correctly.
